Our class created a set of tools for IKEAxDURACELL under the same brand guidelines for a possible shared economy / tool library.

Design process and AI:
For the project my team and I developed a visual brand language for IKEAxDURACELL, and created tools to be shared and lended out to users. After doing some preliminary sketches, using photoshop I did my best to render both the hammer and rotary hammer.
Then using ai through a software called VIZCOM, I went though and rendered each material on the product from my sketches to create a rendered image of my idea.

What did this process teach me?
This project used more ai than I have ever used before and it taught me a lot. The place the ai is at now it cannot create a fully finished product from nothing, it requires research and a highly developed sketch. Ai is a great tool to use for rendering sketches and ideation, but the bulk of the work in still on the designer.
